Have you ever lived on your own?  I moved out at 18....sure your rent is cheap and a sweet mom is hard to beat..but what have you been doing?  Are you single?  Just wondering.  Good luck with Business School!

hmm, when my son at age 22 went to college, he was staying in residence.  He decided to move back home. (probably homesick and loved the live in mom maid - not funny really).  In as much as I love my son, I wished he'd stayed at residence.  His late late hours out and dropping stuff upon arrival of coming home (when he is home) shows lack of respect.  We made an agreement that we would pay his car insurance till he was done college, but the nerves are getting thin here.  He needs to grow up, as a parent, i feel that I did him no good making things easy for him.  He has not learned what he needs to be away from home.  You probably don't realize how much crap you dump on your mom, it's simple things, but they build up to resentment.  She'll probably never say she minds, but she does!  So, there's no easy way in saying this, but you have to "grow" up. Stop leaching off the parent and get a part time job and move on.

I really do know how you feel though,  your stuck in a rut.  Why don't you network to try to move in with others, maybe you'll have the chance when you go to school.

30??? w/ mom....must not be alot of ladies around either????? Time to man up - get a job and go make it for yourself......That is lame - i wouldn't hire someone who was living with their mom....Especially at 30; except if their parent needed special care because of illness or handicap....Otherwise, grow up - and get out....

Hey, at least you are saving mad money. Be sure to stash that money so when you do get your own place, you can get a sick baller pad.

Please be kind.   sometimes bad stuff happens to good  people and they fall on a run of bad luck.  sometimes stuff gets worse before it gets better.  This process may take a while but if you pray and have faith, GOD will get you through it.    Hang in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

blame it on your parents, they obviousely didn't  teach you the essential tools you need.  your just one of those birds that can't take the leap out of the nest...

if you don't want to blame it on them, try society... you can even blame it on dr spock.

you can't blame it on yourself though, after all, your only 30 and don't have the skills it takes to survive on your own... that's very obvious. you have either no skill or confidance. chances are, if you don't have them by now, you will never have them so, be happy you parents were neglect in your upbringing or, you would have to actuallly take responsibility for your life.

and be damn happy you weren't my son or i would have put my foot up your ass and kicked you down the street. 30 years old and can't take care of themselves, what in the hell did your parents do to you??  you should get a lawyer and sue them for every penny. faulty parenting!

First, whoever doesn't come to sales hq to hear about God will hear either now or in eternity, but every knee shall bow. Second, if the guy is thirty and lives at home and has never been married, it seems he does lack some skills. But there are some people over thirty who have gone through tough times and the love of parents made a difference in seeing them through, like when some persons go through divorce and have no place to stay. If the parents are oppossed to them staying at a homeless shelter, then it is a joint decision about taking a kid back in at home. It doesn't just affect the kid. The parents are affected as well.
