Life Changing Cold Call

Posted 19 days ago When I was just starting out in the insurance industry, I was making cold calls because I didn't have enough prospects. I made a cold call to an architect firm and the lady I spoke to happened to be the owner of the firm. She had questions about Error and Ommissions insurance (which was not something I sold), so I told her that I could refer someone to help her and proceeded to set an appointment to meet and talk about how I could help. Upon meeting, we converted her health insurance and set her up with life and disability insurance as well. One year down the road she gets sick with cancer! Our company started making her monthly life insurance premiums, she was able to collect disability and her health insurance was paying for her medical bills. Needless to say, she would have gone bankrupt if she didn't have this coverage. Today she is able to keep her house and her business because she has the proper coverage. She is a living testimony. Whether your product could change a business or impact someone's life, just think of how cold calling could have an impact! |

We actually know the client on many levels and interact before during and after the sale. We feel responsible for the good and sometimes not so good outcomes. As good as that made you feel, there was probably a bean counter in the back office saying oh #%*%. We just sold a policy and now we need to pay. They'll never quite understand. |

| Posted 15 days ago In a LinkedIn discussion a person asked what we lloved about the sales profession. My reply is I love making a difference and enhancing peoples lives on a daily basis. There is no greater feeling then one of accomplishment helping others. The time is now to grow and learn as much as possible. Take action and responsibility for your actions

| Posted 12 days ago I have never regretted making a cold call to anyone. I always leave a good impression and often get referrals from the ones that did not need our services. I am either lucky or lol darn good at being myself and listening. (not meaning to be conceited here lol ) |
