 My boss threatened to fire me this week, because he felt I was too distracted, and talked too much.  I moved my seat, and he wanted me where I was so he could keep his eye on me.  He said that if I distracted anyone, I can expect to be out the door in five minutes.  He was angry.

I am still pretty scared.  I finally got the nerve to read the article about how to handle a female employee written in 1943.  Oh, God.  That's exactly how my boss acts, as well as the men in my office.  I need to explain things about my point of view, and it's like explaining upside down Swahili.  

From May to now, they found a fibroid in my right breast, and it was growing rapidly.  It turned out to be a Phyllode.  It's a benign tumor, but I was warned if I didn't have it removed, it could become malignant in three years.  So I had surgery and it was removed.  It took time off from work, because of the exams, because the doctors needed my medical records from the hospital of my former medical group, and so on.  It effected my attendance, and my sales numbers.

Men just don't understand.  Unless they have a wife or a sister going through the same thing, and then afterward, MAYBE they understand a little bit.  Hopefully, you aren't like that to your wife.

Hopefully, she doesn't have to show you a picture.

Maureen-

Don't go quitting your job.  These are really tough times.  Do you work in a copmany big enough to have an HR dept.  If so I would document and bring it to their attention.  If not document, document, document.  If you do get fired you will have grounds to sue them.  I am not litigous but these guys need to learn a lesson.

hmmmmm interesting.  A moron must have written that article.  Probably a bachelor who still lives with his mom at the age of 50.  Probably bosses his mom around like he does in the article.  I worked in a place like Maureen, fortunately I was not the one watched but saw others watched and I know exactly what she saw.  My blessing was that I was laid off and found a better job, where I am showed respect because they can see I work hard.  When I talk no big deal as they know I get my work done.  Gee, when I have a doctors apt the bosses wife MAKES me leave even earlier than I need to as she doesn't want me to be late.  lol what a switch. Good places do exist Maureen, unfortunately not at your place.
