Quite the merger! As a career seeker I am excited about the possibility this could present for me! Hopefully within a month or two I will be in my new(ish) vocation. Are there other people on here who veiw this as an opportunity? Any ideas on how to leverage it? I will be networking on linkdin and twitter soon as well, i just need to get decent pictures to post of myself. The kitty is a good pic, but I imagine that recruiters would prefer one of me.

I would imagine that positioning yourself as an expert on certain subject matters on SalesHQ could lead to more job bites, but that applies to any networking site.

The major drawback I see is that if your resume is linked to networking sites ANYTHING you say could be used against you -- including the less business oriented threads. (Conversely it could also be a plus.)

I guess I always viewed SalesHQ as part of Monster anyway, since that's the way my original invite came to me -- and how the site has always been marketed.  The only thing that seems to have changed is the ability to link your accounts together.

Identical to msi's opinion I too always put the two together. Exposure is the benefit. Especially Alan LOL

With all do respect I think if a job seeker brings the same type attitude as you (Obrudder) than you're right it won't help.  However if you're a true sales person then you should already know that exposure/networking is everything.  Regarding it being easier for  monster & hq gathering information about us, I think this already understood and agreed upon the minute we set up a profile on sites such as this.

So my humble opinion is that I think Sales HQ is an asset to people such as myself who's been out of the loop for some years.  I welcome anyone employer that want to check my profile and see my photo because I'm confident that my potential future employer will see an outgoing, OPTIMISTIC & personable team player!

If you're on here to get job exposure or publicity of some kind, that's your agenda, not mine.

You are creating an "image" for a future employer to see an outgoing, OPTIMISTIC & personable team player!"  It's a shame, maybe, that we won't get any insight into who you "REALLY" are.

I sincerely wish you the best in your job search.
