Posted 2 months ago Who or how does a person find out when to launch a service or product? Depending on what it is, where would one look for information on such things? I know the internet is a good source, but there must be other places to consult as well. Where do marketing people get the information from? brainstorming? pure luck? what/where? |

| Posted 2 months ago everything you mentioned plus research and investigation from soup to nuts. Explore every avenue and learn about the avenues you don't know about. the competition is a good place to start, talking to their customers to determine what works, what doesn't work, what can be canged and what can't. how close or far away does your product compare? THe economic climate plays a factor as does geographic location, delivery systems and other resource pools (manufacturing administration, development team etc) it all requires brainstorming until you work it down to the end result... like a recipe baking bread, if you use all of the best ingredients and follow the instructions, the only possible outcome can be a perfectly baked loaf of bread. |

| Posted about 1 month ago Are you looking to launch this product online or in a brick and mortor store? Either way a good source of information can be found on the internet. First of all the biggest question before launch any product is,"Is there a market for product!" So many time we get wrapped up in our product that we forget what's important, are people already looking for and buying a product like mine. A great place to do research if there is a market is Google's Keyword Tool. You must have a google account, it's free, and then you can use their keyword tool to type in a word that your market might type into a search engine to look for information about your product. Based on how many people are searching for you particular related product keyword, you can have an idea on how big the market is. Then you can go look up your competition by typing in those keywords in the search engine and see who is paying for advertising and what products they are trying to sell. If there are a few people already selling and advertising the product or similar product you want to launch, it's a good thing. It means there is a market. After that, you start a marketing campaign with a squeeze page to capture people's emails and then start pre-promoting your product by giving something free away to start a following. Then you do product launch. This is obviously a very high level look at market research, but if you just dive deeper into each step, you can get all the info you need to see most importantly is there a market of "buyers" for your market, and what your competition is doing. Hope this helps. Maximus |
