This is a really dumb question coming from a student, but can someone give me the official or most popular "lables" for the different parts of the supply chain?

I would say it goes from  'manufacturer' to 'distributor' to "retailer" to "consumer"...     What would you officially call companies like Apple or General Mills who sell to the retail stores?

Thank you for your patience.

comapnies like that have a distribution center where they ship to the different stores. I would think they are structured to have two different companies within one company. one for manufacturing and one for distribution.
