Posted 4 months ago I will be off line for the weekend as I do not have a computer at home, EVERYONE....HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND AND I WILL CHECK IN ON MONDAY. just wanted to start a thread where if folks wanted to they could acheck out, say they wont be on line for the weekend. they are going on vacation and wont be in touch for a while, whatever. somnetimes I miss people I have not heard from in a while to discover on another thread they have been out of touch due to working, moving etc...... SO if you want to check in or check out, pls do so here, HarrietAlison

| Posted 3 months ago That's funny, my family too are invited to the Ohio river for a fun night of camping. Now that my friends sold the camper we used to stay in...I have a hard time just sleeping in a tent like I used to all the time...and I don't feel like hauling my camper down for a night. I got spoiled by the whole upgrade to the camper lifestyle...so anyways... I papmered myself today so I think all the dirt and dust will ruin my nails..as camping usually does. We are going to take a bike ride instead.....that will be fun. There is a balloon lift off in the area...so maybe we'll see that too. Have a great weekend everyone!! |

| Posted 3 months ago Yes. The Jackson Ballon Lift off was last night along with the food festival....my girlfriend invited me to the jr. HOF parade this afternoon....her son is in it..she just called...the ribs burn off could be going on now...or it's this week. they've started. this is besides the subject..but I saw on tv the other day....they said that Sarasota was one of the prettiest parts of Flordia. I thought that was cool! Thinking of my HQ friends who live there. Rich how far away from the Keys are you?? |

| Posted 3 months ago Winn we used to love the party when the parade route was off fulton road. The partying was great and the route was a ton of fun.It all changed when they moved it to Cleveland Ave when Purses was mayor. We lived within two minutes of the parade route when we were first married.Suzy would get up at 4 am and set up cahirs at the end of our street for our friends and then the party would start. Key West is roughly 6-7 hours away depending on how fast they drive. The first island is probably 5-6 hours.Florida is logner than most people think from one tip to the other is 11 hours and from the panhandle is even longer. East to West is much shorter from tampa to the east coast is about 3 hours Have fun with the festivities The time is now to grow and learn as much as possible. | Posted 3 months ago Sounds like the festivities in Fla were great.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Campinmg was fun. My son Loved it. "Got there late Friday so put up tent in the dark!! had help from a park ranger eventually!!! It rained, thundered and also had some lightening. But it was beautiful to watch across the lake. | Posted 3 months ago I guess its an individual thing....gail and I both have convertables......yes the air can be hot.....but theres nothing like driving 7 mile bridge, water everywhere,,,,and the top down......and we usually go in march or april - that helps...... |

| Posted 3 months ago Helps? LOL that is a huge difference. We went in a miata convertable and the beating sun driving the bridge with a SLOWWWWWWW driver in front of us and fried. There is no way to get around them until they turn.Now we take the hardtop and sit in the ac . it is hard to beat the fun in key west. The time is now to grow and learn as much as possible. | Posted 3 months ago That's true..I have some family that live in Fl..and they say it does get wicked hot!!! Me...I'd probably have the air on full blast with the top down....unless I was on my way for a business call...then I'd probably have the top up...but who's working!!!! I'm on vacation!! |
