I am jealous, Jack here is a consideration, is Jorge Pasada better than Yogi? Look at the stats.

  Not everything is measured by stats. I will take Yogi.

  Here is a stat that is not included. Jorge has caught some of the greatest pitchers in history. Yet  he does not call a great game.

 Would take Munson over Jorge also.

Munson was one hell of a team captain. Carried the Yankees infield management for a couple of years there. Yogi was very good- not great by today's standard, so I take Posada.

I would take Posada as well but I bet most would Yogi,  Munson career was cut short and he was in the era of Bench and Fisk so he may not of had his due.

Speaking of reggie here is another quote that munson hated. " I am the straw that stirs the drink, Munson can only stir it wrong!"

 I knew Thruman Munson, He was an awesom team captain and a great idividual that was a ordinary average Joe or in his case Thruman. I did work for the companies he was a partner with before he died.My wife taught his son. Canton, Ohio

Rich, thanks for the insight, I will never forget the first Yankee game after Thurman's funeral, it was emotional and even Reggie cried, Louis Tiant, took the mound.

People did not know how much influence Munson had with building in the Canton area. His realty management company had over 750 rental units and one of the largest construction companies at that time.

 I would love to hear what the pitchers had to say about him more than Reggie who was put in his place more than one time by him. I am sure that the pitchers would have prefered a better defensive right fielder too.
