Report: Pitchman Mays Used Cocaine
UPI
U.S. television pitchman Billy Mays used cocaine days before his heart attack and the drug’s use helped kill him, a Florida county medical examiner said Friday.
The Hillsborough County medical examiner in Tampa, Fla., said Mays, 50, suffered from heart disease but his drug use was a contributing factor in his June 28 death, The New York Daily News reported.
The TV salesman was found dead by his wife in the couple’s Tampa, Fla., condo. Toxicology tests revealed evidence of drug abuse that didn’t show up in the initial autopsy, the report said.

Billy touched everyone lives. I'm sure we can all still hear his voice right now. All of this Gossip is futil, wrong and shows no respect to his family, or to Billy. He can't even clear this up, as if he ever needed to. I agree with the one that said,,,,we all have vices, what's yours? Gossop???. Shame on the one's that feed on this. I will miss him. He helped so many people, was a loving, caring, man,,,,,a real Gentleman.
Bye for now Billy, I'll see you someday,,,,,I'm sure!

The blow may have contributed but also; age, life style of stress, genetics, and perhaps not having check ups.

I agree this story serves NO PURPOSE! Frankly I believe this medical examiner is "Stretching the truth" We always seem so quick to tear others down! Let's all learn from this and not fall into the same trap..Say something positive or say nothing.

The guy was an extremely 'hyper' individual. These personality types are inherently energetic, excitable, and enthusiastic in all that they do. Their ability to excite others and encourage them to act on impulse is an integral pert of their power of persuasion and makes them natural born salesmen. Unfortunately, this is also a quality that goes hand - in - hand with the likelihood of a high probability for a heart attack. The detection of cocaine in his system is likely incidental. All too often these days, people look to drugs as an underlying culprit for anything bad that happens.

What good does this story do for the family of Billy Mayes? Absolutely zero. This is an example of reporters that simply want to destroy years of hard work with a useless report. So what, he partied a little too hard - I hope whovever reported this story has their reputation stained for whatever vice they may have.
RIP Billy - You entertained us all.
